As a manager, Matthew Taylor works on a variety of engagements, from attestation work such as audits and reviews to tax services for businesses and individuals, but regardless of the project at hand, he is driven to tackle challenges and figure out the “whys” for every client. Once he’s found a best practice solution, he enjoys relaying that information to clients, and helping them put it all together.
The key to Matthew’s success? His relatability and unique perspective! Clients count on Matthew’s hands-on experience in their industries, on top of his years in public accounting; he knows first-hand the types of labor and other day-to-day issues that Lanigan Ryan clients face. His personal work experience in both mechanic shops and landscaping companies gives him that down-to-earth charm and well-informed point of view.
The firm relies on Matthew in the facilitation of internal training video creation and the standardization of firm approach for attestation services. His efforts on the internal control team offer team members the resources to grow professionally, while upholding best practice standards for the firm’s deliverables.
As a self-identified “hobby jumper,” Matthew enjoys picking up any new project to feed his love of learning. Whether it be fishing, dirt biking, golfing, or tinkering with vehicles, he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty for a new experience or skill.
