Stephen H. Staton, CPA

“It is important to be available and present. If a client needs me or wants to see me, I’m there. For me, the best week ever involves being with clients every day.”

Steve Staton is a partner of Lanigan Ryan, specializing in business consulting, strategic planning, tax planning and preparation. In his more than 30 years of experience, Steve has dedicated his career to delivering value to privately held companies in a variety of industries, from construction companies to staffing agencies.

As a subject matter expert, Steve has a natural ability to present financial information in a succinct, conversational, and most importantly, relatable manner. In this way, he helps his clients understand financial statements, shares growth and development topics, and formulates a plan for success. He has also served in leadership roles on numerous not-for-profit boards.

“I don’t turn my profession on and off. I’m always engaged and always ‘on.’ I thrive on building genuine, long-term relationships with my people.”

He enjoys being out-and-about in the community – whether it’s entertaining clients on the golf course, networking, or participating in professional association events. For Steve, giving back to the community also means volunteering with Heroes, Inc., local Catholic schools, and his church. He and his wife have a daughter out of college and a son in college.
