Another year, another great day on the course for a great cause.

On Monday, May 11th, Lanigan Ryan held its 33rd Annual Golf for Charity Tournament at Argyle Country Club. This year’s beneficiaries were The Upcounty Hub and the Maryland Center for Construction Education and Innovation (MCCEI), two organizations doing meaningful work right here in our community. Each organization received a $7,500 donation check from the event.

The day kicked off with registration in the morning, followed by a shotgun start at noon that sent golfers out across the course. After the round wrapped up, attendees gathered for dinner, where they heard directly from the leaders behind this year’s beneficiaries.

Grace Rivera-Oven, Founder and CEO of The Upcounty Hub, spoke about the organization’s mission to serve upper Montgomery County families through food distribution and essential services. What started as a grassroots effort during the COVID-19 pandemic has grown into an operation that serves approximately 1,300 families every week.

Jazmin Rodriguez, Director of Innovation at MCCEI, shared how the organization is working to strengthen Maryland’s construction industry through education, workforce development, and innovation. MCCEI partners with industry leaders to build pathways for the next generation of construction professionals.

The evening closed out with a raffle, some great prizes, and a lot of good energy in the room.

Year after year, this tournament brings together our team, our clients, and our community around something bigger than business. We’re grateful to every golfer, sponsor, and supporter who helped make this year’s event another success.
