Manager Jeff Lavore Named ABC Metro Treasurer

February 6, 2020

Lanigan, Ryan is excited to announce the swearing in of Manager Jeff Lavore, CPA by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), Metro Washington chapter as the new Treasurer. This occasion marks the first time that one of our firm members has been nominated to the Executive Board of the Metro Washington chapter.*

Jeff’s long history with the Metro Washington chapter of ABC began in 2008 when he applied to the Leadership Development Program (LDP). Jeff, among only ~16 individuals who made it beyond the interview process, graduated the program at the highest level of achievement, platinum level. Subsequent to his LDP graduation and due to his exceptional performance in the program, he received a scholarship to the Grinnell Leadership & Organizational Development’s Leadership Jumpstart course, which he completed in 2009. Both programs focused on building leadership skills through coursework, participation in ABC, and relationship building, giving Jeff the opportunity to grow personally and professionally among his peers.

After participation in these programs, Jeff continued his involvement through the LDP advisory committee, screening applicants to LDP and providing mentorship to those in the program, something that he continues to do to this day. In addition to this contribution to ABC, Jeff spent several years volunteering on the membership committee, even joining ABC’s BEAM club at the merit level, credited for bringing in more than 10 new members into the organization. In 2017, Jeff joined the Board of Directors for the organization, serving on the board for the past three years. Jeff will serve ABC Metro as the Treasurer for the next three years, with the possibility of an additional 3-year term.

Congratulations Jeff! Your dedication to ABC Metro and the construction industry makes us incredibly proud.

*Other Lanigan Ryan firm members have held the treasurer position within the Virginia Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors, first with Co-Founder David R. Malcolm, CPA (22 years), and then with Partner Stephen G. Dasher, who currently serves in this position. David also served as the treasurer for Associated Builders and Contractors National.
